The Well Seasoned Gourmand is Tommy Grella and host of his weekly podcast. He is co-hosted by David Garofalo, owner of 2 Guys Smoke Shop and Host of The Cigar Authority the number 1 cigar podcast in the entire World. Also co-hosted by, Mr. Jonathan, D.J. extraordinaire and general all around Mr. Fabulous. Mr. Jonathan is often tormented for being the skinny guy of the group. On this weekly show, we talk all things food but mostly restaurants and great places to eat all over New England. We are based North of Boston and do tend to review mostly between Boston and Portsmouth NH but many weeks we highlight road trips where we can make any place in New England a destination. Fun Fact: These road trips have been a signature of Tommy's with all of his friends since College. Tommy was known for getting in his car and surprising his friends by taking them on long excursions for food.

 Tommy started in the food business for the first time running a hot dog stand for his Uncle who was promoting concerts at the time. Later on he got his bar tending certificate at only 17 at his father’s request. Tommy was often the house bartender for his parent’s gatherings and networking events. By 18 he was bar tending for his Uncle (same one) in night clubs. After College Tommy worked at Putnam Investments initially following in his father’s footsteps into the world of finance. One day in 2006, Tommy showed his friend Dave Garofalo an e-mail from The Food Network looking for qualified people for their show "The Next Food Network Star". David pushed Tommy to make a video and apply. They sent in a 3-minute video and the Network called Tommy the Next Day. Tommy was  a finalist on The Next Food Network Star season 3, but sadly did not win. He continued in finance while cooking for clients and traveling up and down the east coast as guest chef for restaurants and casinos, even Disney at their annual Food and Wine festival. After a few more years in finance he partnered with a longtime friend Andrew Tucker and opened a restaurant called Prelude in Methuen, MA. That lasted for 5 years before they closed, the location was doomed from the beginning but the food was acclaimed and got much local positive media. Now Tommy is The Well Seasoned Gourmand food blogger, podcast host, foodie, cigar lover, and social media marketer for food businesses all over the country.
